Kyle Henry’s Fourplay strings together four short films united by their unabashed explorations of sexual intimacy.... The shorts build in emotional depth to the concluding segment, “San Francisco,” which provides the film’s heartrending climax.
"Tampa" features swift edits and steady action that keeps surprising the audience at every turn; Fourplay is crass, unapologetic, imaginative, challenging and, ultimately, comforting.
Most noteworthy, perhaps, is David Fabelo’s editing, the crispness of which adds another injection of humor into the proceedings. All told, the best way I can describe this film is as the circle-jerk offspring of the Marx Brothers and Kenneth Anger.
